Yahoo News Problem

I was included as a Yahoo news source (One of the lucky ones) but suddenly disapeared when we rebranded with a new domain.

We used a 301 redirection in order to not loose what we had started, all majors picked us up really quick, even Google news were quick to act. The only ones that did not pick up on this was Yahoo news.

I contacted them regarding the issue, god knows how many times - and all they do is keep redirecting me to departments or sections on Yahoo that have nothing to do with my querie? Do they actually read what is sent to them?

I then tried something - I removed the 301 for a week just to test if Yahoo news would pick up my source and bingo! they did straight away. I have now reverted back to the 301 to avoid any pr problems, but sadly have lost out on being part of Yahoo News.

Very disapointed with them :(

A bit off topic sorry, but how does the traffic between Google News and Yahoo News compare?

Not much difference, really depends on how popular the news story is.
However there is a slight advantage on Yahoo as they have a limited number of sources compared to Google's hundreds.

The MSN news bot is another neat.

What I want to know is how the support team work at Yahoo?

Is it a system where subject or body text keywords are automaticly selected and it gives you an automated response as to what the problem may be?

I explained what the problem is (as my first post above states) and they reply with "please take a screenshot of the entire
page."

That really tells you that support issues are not read...
