Newb here. Be tender :)
Since 1 month I am trying to get a new site listed in Y. Just a few days ago a site:mysite.com revealed that some of the pages have been indexed. 30 in total.
It came to my attention that instead of www.mysite.com/ all 30 pages listed showed mysite.com/.
So I am wondering what determines if a page gets listed under the www or otherwise. Thats my question #1.
Also, over the past few days I noticed that the number of indexed pages went up. First to 60, then 111 then 170.
So yesterday I was checking to see if I overcame the 200 barrier, but sad but true the number of indexed pages went back to 111. Further, I seem to be appearing within the SERPs but the position seems to be constantly shifting. I guess its too early to tell whats going on, the site is less than a month old.
However, a little while ago I tried the site:mysite command again to see if I am back to 60 or if its going back up and I was surprised to see that all I am getting was 1 single result and what a weird one.
It seems that Y has edited my listing in a way that they feel its relevant.
Text has been added to the listing title and description. The following has been added:
MypageTitle - Quality at low cost
MypageDescription - blabla - raise money for your favorite group or give a truly unique gift with - blablabl
I appriciate the additional brainstorm from the Y team
but as it never happened to me before I must ask my 2nd question. Is this a new thing? Did this happen to you before?
I apologize if this has been discussed in previous threads and appriciate if someone could point me in the right direction.
Thanks again,
Chris
