Is anyone else seeing strange desciptions in yahoo search results today? I saw the same thing happen before their last update in December.

My sites seemed to have made a move already. The main one moving up 20 spots to position 20 (it deserves better but this is a nice improvement).

My new site has done real well with lots of number one and two spots for my long tail pages.

I noticed the 'Number of people saved this page' figure in the serps dropped to zero, which was worrying, until next day it leapt to way above its previous maximum, which does indicate a refresh.

I also noticed in Y! Site Explorer the number of our pages in the index has fluctuated up and down quite a bit this week.

I find myself using Y! search more and more, now that G's harsh algo has excluded so many innocent sites.

For example yesterday I wanted info on a particular motor race in the 70s. It simply wasn't listed in G, but I found nice reports, (on clean sites) about the race using Y! search.

Let's face it, all of the algos are harsh. They are only 'not harsh' to people when their site is ranking well.
