Just noticed an interesting little 'tip' at the bottom of a Yahoo search:

Tip - Save $ on your holiday gifts. Type: [retailer] coupon (e.g. target coupon).

E.g. a search for 'dell coupon [search.yahoo.com]' actually gives discount codes above the search results, along with their expiry date.

Pretty nifty, and seems like something that would be very popular with online shoppers, and (until Google have an equivalent) a good reason to do shopping searches at Yahoo. Not sure it would be so popular with retailers though!

How popular will this be with affiliate coupon sites?

Definitely will be popular with search users, which is the search engine's constituents so you can't blame them for trying to be useful. And yes, this is pretty useful. :)
