Anybody else seeing this? For the second day in a row the Yahoo home page is not accessible for large portions of the day. I have no problem accessing any other site, even Yahoo mail, but I'm unable to do a search using Yahoo. (And not-so-coincidentally my Yahoo traffic is down since yesterday) Very strange to see them having server problems!

Since I haven't seen this in the news I'm assuming that not all servers are down, and for many Yahoo is still accessible.

It would be helpful if you stated what geographic region you are posting from.

It was suggested to me that I go through a proxy and to my surprise I could access Yahoo's home page. Does that imply that my ip address is being blocked by Yahoo? I use Comcast Cable. Any news of Comcast customers being blocked? But what's strange is I can access any other part of Yahoo (mail, YPN etc.) just not Search.

Hi
Can you please send me your IP address as well as what error you are getting. We will then look into this issue for you.
Thanks,
Tim

Ok to follow up, it has been explained to me that there have been many Comcast customers throughout the country who haven't been able to access Yahoo.com sporadically beginning sometime in November.

Can't get an answer why.

Some Comcast customers say there have been other sites they mysteriously haven't been able to access lately. Another stated that these problems have coincided with the fact that Yahoo has been implementing new protocols throughout since late October.

Anyway, for the first time in over a week I'm able to get Yahoo.com.

Still unable to access. Also a Comcast customer. Unable to get into google advertising section either.

Comcast is going downhill since TimeWarner bought them out. I'm leaving them asap.

Yea, I use Time Warner in New York and have experienced yahoo being down as well. Sometimes it works and other times it does not.
