Yahoo Search Submit - Ruining Natural Search

I was keen to see if anyone else had the problem that I have with yahoo's search submit pro, basically if you pay enough through Search Submit you can #*$!ise Yahoo's natural listings! Surely, this goes against the "best" sites being ranked the highest?

Okay we're all aware that we can backward engineer the engines, however, we still have to provide a high level of relevant content and quality inbound links, together with the other 150+ elements that make up SEO.

So what is Yahoo up to? the premise of natural search is that it is not affected by paid for placement, yet search submit totally abuses this premise!

Not very impressed to say the least and I hope that Msn and (please god no!) that Google do not take this route.

interested in opinions on this from the SEO community.

Cheers

Pete

Paid inclusion is not a guarentee to even be in the index. The process is controlled for quality and once submission is approved the data still has to go through the normal ranking algo.

If someone were allowed to get a high rank for terms that were not related to the page then it would be a problem. If the user gets a page that is what they searched for then I don't see any problem with it at all. I'd rather have PI listings that spam listings.
