I have hated using Google Sync and it's evil data collecting to manage my bookmarks on multiple computers for sometime. But it has been the best option so far.

Now Yahoo has released a new toolbar with a very nice new Bookmark Feature.

Yahoo! is looking to give its users an easier way to organise, search and share favourite Web pages.

It also says it is introducing a simplified version of the Yahoo! toolbar that features a one-click way to bookmark Web pages. The toolbar is a menu of key Yahoo! services that is embedded along the top border of Web browser software programs.

Yahoo! shares Internet bookmarks [pcpro.co.uk]

It comes complete with Thumbnails, Full Text Indexing, tagging, and browser integration. What more can a guy ask for.

Anyone else tried it yet?

Too bad the firefox yahoo toolbar does not have the new bookmarks feature yet.

But as far as the new.bookmarks.yahoo.com service, it's similar to blinklist (which I have been using just because of screenshots)

bookmarks are so much better with screenshots :-)

I also think a lot of people will appreciate that yahoo saves the cache of the page, so when you have thousands of bookmarks the search feature will work better.

Whats the difference between using Google sync and Google Bookmarks. I use the latter and quite enjoy it.

I guess i will only get to try this yahoo feature when they release it for firefox...
