Wondering if anyone is experiencing this peculiar problem I'm having with Yahoo!

Two months ago, I was #8 for a competitive keyword. I re-submitted my rss feed at site explorer and days later, my #8 listing for my homepage was replaced with an internal page.

After contacting Yahoo! about 5 times (all without reply) my homepage came back into the serps at #18 3 weeks ago. Two days back, I re-submitted my updated rss feed and lo and behold, the #18 listing for my homepage has again been replace with another internal page.

I wonder if having a small section on affiliate programs is the cause of this. This section makes up only approximately 1% of my total content.

Anyone having the same problem or knows why Yahoo! doesn't like my homepage?

BTW... I'm #7 on Google for a search returning 80 million pages.

It's interesting that you've come up with this thought as I have as well.. I've suffered yahoo droping sites completely and then them coming back a month or 2 later, with no changes made to the site. But this last time, I was getting some good traffic starting to build from yahoo and I submitted a url list to site explorer. The end result is that all pages except for the index page dissappeared from the SERPS. Slurp continues to crawl the site but no pages have come back. I recently resubmited the urllist with no changes. So my next step is to delete the site completely from site explorer to see what happens.

I believe Y! has issues with RSS feeds. I remember six months ago they dropped the advantage sites with RSS feeds had in the serps, then it was all downhill. Now, EVERYTIME I resubmit my updated feed, my homepage in the serps will go MIA.

Well I deleted a couple sites from site explorer last night so we'll see what happens in the next week or 2.
