Did anybody notice yesterday any flux in yahoo serps, or at least change in your rankings? I saw some movement that possibly looked like before the crappy August update...

I swear, yahoo is mixing three to four algos on a continual bases.

The swings are so extreme at times that it cannot attributed to just a algo adjustment.

Four nobs either adjusted by a tech or bumped my the cleaning crew at night.

vstevens,

To paraphrase, no, I haven't seen any fluxing, but then again, I don't pay attention. I just checked some terms and things look as poor as they were 6 months ago. Same top 10, and lots of splog spam.

I see some results that appear to be handcoded, and have been that way for a very long time. Oddly enough, those sites are "banned" from the Yahoo index. That is, they appear only on the "handcoded" terms. I expected to see these disappear but still havent.

From what I can tell, the directory listings took a much higher preference in what I'm looking at. Now, I don't necessarily think that is a bad thing, but it did result in yet another wild swing...so, I suppose we'll start advocating getting a listing if it sticks.
