Rank well in local search but not US search

Keywords rank well in local search results but not in US

I have several websites targeting US / Canadian customers but I am in Hong Kong. My main keywords rank well in the local search result but they can't be found or in much lower positions in US search results (I check this using proxify service).

My sites are hosted by US hosting company but when I first registered the domains, I used my address in Hong Kong. I have changed to anonymous registration recently. I wonder how Yahoo determines that my sites should rank better in Hong Kong and how do I improve the ranking for specific countries?

Any suggestions?

Are they .co, .com, .info etc domains, or do you use local TLDs?

They are .net sites.
