about 15 days ago we decided to be indexed in yahoo directory, so we paid $299 to have our link in the proper section. After some days, Yahoo staff added our link. The day after we noticed that our site completely disappeared in the Yahoo search. And never came back. Our pages are present on yahoo search, Slurp indexes our site regularly and heavily, but we lost all our good position (we were first with a lot of keywords). Before we entered (and PAID!) the directory, Yahoo search brought to us about 20% of the external traffic (about 40000 visits/day on 180000), now 2%.
Can someone explain this?

We have two sites that we maintain. One site is #1 on Google for all of our major terms, but it doesn't really show up on any of these terms on Yahoo. The other site ranks well on Google and reasonably well in Yahoo. The site ranking well in Yahoo is NOT in the Yahoo directory, while the site that doesn't show up IS in the directory. I think this is related to the mandatory title (i.e. the same title must show up in the directory and in the organic serps). I paid for inclusion about four years ago and I have never renewed this. I would really like to know how to get our site removed from the directory, as I think it would help with our placement.
