I have one domain with 7 subdomains. One of subdomains got DMOZ entry (I applied for all subdomains - but you know DMOZ - you'll never know what you can get). I used to have decent amount of visitors from Google before site went into Google dupe filter. Site contains generated content, mostly meaningful using various other sources.

Subdomain which has dmoz link had only one more link from main site. The pages used not to be indexed in major search engines. Guess what? Six months has passed and Yahoo has indexed approx. 3000 pages on that subdomain which has dmoz link and it sends visitors slowly. Sitexplorer shows 300 links to it - almost all copies of DMOZ.

So, DMOZ seems to be still valuable at least for Yahoo if you have much pages.

Others may not agree, but I think there's still value to a listing. For one, there's the trust factor of the link, and it's a good starting place for crawlers, as is the Yahoo Directory.

IMHO the link situation is something that changed with this last update.
