[search.yahoo.com...]

I visited Yahoo Search at the above link and a dhtml tab dropped down promoting IE 7. I'm using IE 6.

I got one for firefox ( which is what I was using at the time ) suggesting that I use firefox's latest incarnation with yahoo as default search ..they appear to be sniffing browsers and suggesting that you make them "yahoo" the default engine in whatever browser you are arriving to the page with ..

presumably as MS have released an out of beta version of IE7 yahoo now considers IE6 obselete?

given the way IE7 runs CSS and so on compared with IE6 ..
( a tad more standards respect in 7 than in 6 )

this may be awake up call to revise ones code in order to rank in yahoo ..( if "slurp" agrees with their landing page's assessment of which is the best IE to be running and or coding for ) ...

leastways.. on past performance you wont have to do it ( code for IE updates ) more frequently than every couple of years ..;-)
