Until yesterday one of my sites was #1 for a particular word in yahoo.com and was climbing again in the .co.uk (up to #14 yesterday) but when i checked today in the .co.uk it was nowhere to be found in the serps.

When i checked to see if there was a problem using the site: command in the .co.uk, i quickly find that the homepage is not there. Now there's a link at the bottom of all results saying

"...you can repeat the search with the omitted results included."

and only then does it bring only one more entry which is the homepage.

What is going on? There is no duplicate to the homepage on my site.

I checked using yahoo.com too (site explorer) and the home page is indexed, but it has disappeared also from the serps from yahoo.com.

Is this some sort of penalty? My site is strictly white hat, no tricks and has not changed since it was last indexed and cached in the last week.

Any help / info would be appreciated. Thanks.

So you do a site:search for your domain name and it shows only one page, the home page?

Correct me if I am wrong, but hasn't the 'site' operator been broken at Yahoo on and off for a while now?

About as usefull as the 'link' modifyer at Google?
