Yahoo has just rewritten the descriptions on a whole category. This was a paid submission that has been in for over a year. Went from an accurate description to "provides XXXX". Interesting that this is a category for which Yahoo offers a competing product. They are acting as an affiliate to the service provider and it's displayed three inches above the next heading labeled ‘Most Popular’ which is a couple of inches above ‘Alphabetical‘ all the rest of the listings.

A forth place ranking dropped to something like 18th. Only have three days of data but went from about 150 clicks per day from them to 52.

Well enough of the rant, but I’m so dam mad had to get it out of my system.

I think all of us have gone through that day at one point or another herb. When search engines themselves become our prime competitors, what is the point of supporting them in any way shape or form? This is my current feelings towards Inktomi.
