Yahoo China Search is different from Yahoo Search?

There is a chinese wesite was banned by yahoo china search(cn.yahoo.com) for unknown reason, buy recorded in Yahoo Search(www.yahoo.com), that means Yahoo China is different from Yahoo? Why they made different ways?
