Hi. I have a listed site in a catagory and i need to change the catagory and description (the site is now offering a different focus on services). This site has been in Yahoo for years and is therefore not paid. I don't expect them to change the catagory if i just ask them. So I was thinking about doing a business express submission with the same url but with a different catagory. My question is this - will they just take my money and say "you are already in there"??

any advice would be really appreciated - thanks! :)

I think they say that paying for another review is what you are supposed to do....there is a comment field at the end of the submission form where you can explain your situation. Sounds like an absolutely legitimate thing that Yahoo needs to do for you if you pay them.

I've never heard of anyone actually getting their site's category switched. It's hard enough just to get listed, I honestly agree with the above post pay and yahoo will do it.

I've been told by a senior Yahoo editor that if you try to use Biz Express to change your listing, they will simply take your money and tell you to use the change form.

As I remember, if you read the Yahoo submission guidelines, they also tell you to use the change form to change an already existing listing.

The problem, of course, is that using the change form doesn't necessarily provide any results... certainly not timely ones.

I've been able to get a few sites changed by emailing back the editor who sends the acceptance email. I try to do it right away and in such a way that it is perfectly justifiable. Also, I've been successful by citing examples from their own help pages. For example, they say that sites can be listed in two categories in their help pages...so I quote this and put it in context with the situation of that particular site.
