Yahoo Personalised Search - Or is it?

Am I missing something here?

Can someone tell me what the difference is between my searchable IE history and Yahoo! Personal Search except the obvious:

(a) - IE history only stores 28 days of search history
(b) - IE doesn't send my search history to Yahoo!

Can someone tell me how this differs from a searchable bookmark manager?

Is this just Yahoo trying to fob us off claiming a "personalised search" solution when it clearly isn't? Or can someone put me straight on this matter.
