Hi, folks...I've read somewhere that you will actually *hurt* your chances of getting a good ranking (or, indeed, of getting listed at all) if you use Yahoo's "free submission" option.
Is there any truth to this? If so, why is that?

This isn't true. We do a random sampeling for Urls in the index, but all search engines are going to do this, not just Yahoo!.

Just get some links and Y! will most likely index the site on its own.
