My site is very well indexed by google and most of my pages show up in the first 5 search results. Yahoo, however, is another thing. My site has dissapeared from yahoo and all the overture based search engines about 3 months ago. I am now thinking of creating a new site, on a different host and different domain, but using the same content from my old site. I am hoping that my new site will eventually be indexed by all search engines. An important question for me, however, is whether my site will be considered duplicate and penalized by search engines due to duplicate content.
My new site will have a completely different design and use css based layout instead of my old table based. Is this enough of a change for SEs to not consider the new site duplicate.
Also, if my new site is considered duplicate by SEs, will this impact my old site or new site.
