On Tuesday I got a lot of pages from my domain listed in Google
for the first time,
(sorry I have to mention Google under the Yahoo forum)
and today I only have my home page in Yahoo web pages.
Do you think any more will be listed in Yahoo web pages?

Does anyone know a way to see a list of all pages from
a domain that are listed in Yahoo web pages?

Are the pages very similar to each other?

Hi Lizzie,

What I usually do to check this is to perform a URL search in Yahoo and then hit webpages. If Yahoogle has pages from that domain listed, they'll usually appear under that search.

Does anyone know of another, more accurate way, to check for this?

The easy way is to just type in www.domain.com for the search.

I have a similar problem, about half of my pages are missing. All of my pages are in Google as usual. Is Yahoo in flux? I hope so!

Has Yahoo settled? If so, I have lost over 90 pages from my site this time around. Yahoo was an excellent source of traffic. Is there any reason why they have only included 10 or so pages from my site? When I search for say - fishing tackle, one of my other unrelated pages ie. cycling appears in the top 3 results. Not good for me, not good for the searchers.
Every page has unique content, and my rankings in Google are very respectable. Any ideas?

I was wondering for those who have gone through this
with Yahoo updates before:
How long after Google includes new pages in the index has it been before Yahoo follows with the new pages in its index?

You might try this little trick of mine and create a nonsense-coded word of your own and place it on every page of your site. Then you simply check for that keyword. It's incredible how effective this has been for me with all the rest of the craziness we deal with in this industry. Something like “zxcrtvsk” or whatever.

I also find the indexing tool at [submitcorner.com...] works good.

Could use it to brand your next site.

Don't trust the www.domain.com search in Yahoo to find your Google pages. I tried it and Yahoo only gave me our main page and one other. I then did a search and quickly found a different page of ours that Yahoo hadn't reported.

When I tried link:www.domain.com in Yahoo it showed the rest of our pages along with pages that link to us. I knew they had to be there because we're getting too many referrals to be from just two pages.

Paynt - great idea - will do it in every page in every site from now on.

I suffer from the same disposition as others towards yahoogle results, only the main page for KW's, though when i put the domain into yahoo, my site come's up but when i look at web pages, i find external links and the main page only come up, whereas google itself has indexed most of my pages.

So does it take a long time for yahoogle to sort out the web pages

Someone told me that the first time a site is listed
only the homepage is listed, then on the second index
update more pages from the site may be listed, but Yahoo
still never lists as many pages in a site as Google.

Can anyone confirm this?

hi people.
my problem with yahoogle is the exact oposite. about three months ago i cleared my server and uploaded the site again to basicaly remove any unlinked pages. now the google index has updated and only lists existing pages buy yahoogle has my existing pages+ a load of 404 error pages where files have been removed.

i always manage to do things just a bit different :)
