Cingular and Yahoo Team Up

Cingular Wireless is expanding its Media Net service by adding applications from content provider Yahoo! The deal with Yahoo! will give Cingular customers access to myriad applications, including instant messaging, e-mail, games and more.

The service works by letting Cingular customers log on to the Yahoo! portal via their wireless handset to access Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Sports, Yahoo! News and Yahoo! Games. Local information such as weather and driving information also can be had.
