I purchased the domain xyz.com not too long ago, and now am building content and links for it. It's starting to get some google positions, and I checked the yahoo status on it the other day. When I do a allinurl, site, or just about any search on Yahoo for the domain, there's over 2000-4000 results returned, from all kinds of sites.

I don't understand it. The domain has no history on Google, but on Yahoo apparently there's 2000 sites returned.

None of them have links to my domain, or have ANYTHING related to my domain whatsoever.

It's like Yahoo isn't even looking at the search; it's taking the search as a keyword query for xyz's keyword.

It's really wierd, I've never had this problem with Yahoo before, and not sure what to do.

I might just register a new domain and drop the old.

Checked that; no history. But it seems Yahoo is not looking at the url when I put it in, it's looking at the keyword. Why is it doing this?

Emailed yahoo about it. Now I wait. Again.

Maybe I should just move the URL, change the links, email my designer, .... pain in the neck but it may save me some time
