Yahoo web search versus Directory

I have a url that ranks #1 (has for years) for 2 keywords which are our domain name in Yahoo web search.
What benefits or problems might we encounter if we also try for Directory listing because of below:

Our company name & description has changed (same business, but much large scope and adopted the domain name as our comapny name) since Yahoo included us years ago in web search, but we never wanted to rock the boat by trying to edit because of #1 ranking.

It seems that more people would do a simple Yahoo web search than a directory search?
