There are quite a few references in these fora about avoiding affiliate links when submitting to Yahoo, and I am just wondereing to what extent we should avoid them.

Is it only sites that are obviously set up simply to draw traffic and populated with copious amounts of affiliate links that are rejected,

or is it also sites that are full of content and have maybe one or two links on the page to cover hosting costs?

Is even one affiliate link too many? Are advertising banners served by CJ.com a no no? Are advertising banners in general a no no?

Just wondering where the line is drawn. Anybody know?

I have seen more and more sites that have affiliate links to one product or company get in just fine (I've been looking through the "what's new" section recently). Don't know about where to draw the line, but I'm sure a page full of affiliate links still will not cut it.

Thats what I was thinking as well. Thought I would get a second opinion. Thanks.

Significant and unique content will pull the site in. Many sites use affiliate links but the site should not be exclusively affiliate as there would be no unique content. I would think your banners would be just fine.
