fixing yahoo 301 bug

Hi,
On the Yahoo site help section, they explicitly say to use 301 redirects when moving content. However, now they are punishing sites for "duplicate content" that do this and basically removing them from all relevant searches.

Ive heard yahoo is addressing this - is this true? What can i do to get re-indexed? thanks!

Yahoo stated here, in February/March this year, and on subsequent ocassions that they have a problem with 301 redirects.

They informed WW that it was "high priority"
Now in June and still nothing.

Seems to me their technicians and engineers aren`t up to it!
Amazing how paid inclusion works like a dream in their directory yet nearly 4 months go by without a flicker on a "High Priority" task.

It does make one wonder, so don`t hold your breathe

If you use a no index on the old file then surely the spider wont actually know it's duplicate content.

I actually took the old file down and parked the domain. Yahoo still cant get it right. Now it shows the parked domain where my site should be (#3 in the serps) and a snippet saying "This domain is parked..."

Yahoo needs to clear its cache...

We replaced a 301 redirect which is listed in Yahoo for our main site about 6 weeks ago.

Replaced with a completely blank page - noindex meta tag - robots.txt excluding all robots
Guess what - still not been updated
