I submited to yahoo.com free option, slurp comes to scan the site time to time.

However I notice my site is completely ignored in many local yahoo's as brazil: www.yahoo.com.br

What should I do to be found in those search results too? (some pages of my slurp visited site are portuguese, the brazilian language)

Do I need to submit in another place?
Any tips?

Hi, I would submit to [br.yahoo.com...] for the directory.

In terms of the database, Yahoo should be able to identify your language. Another alternative is for you to register a .br domain, with only the info in portuguese, so Yahoo immediately knows that the default language is portuguese. Finally, you could try hosting your site in a Brazilian server.

Thanks! Good tips!
However submitting to br.yahoo.com directory is for non commercial sites.
Commercial sites must be "Link Patrocinados" that means at least U$166 (R$ 500) or the directory means some U$33.

There's no free options there, but however the search throws results non paid.. so that's what I want to point how get indexed there.

Anybody knows?

>>>some pages of my slurp visited site are portuguese<<<

The main point is how Slurp treats a page of Portuguese text on a site that is not predominantly a Portuguese site nor is hosted in Brazil. There’s a similar discussion about Google and pages of Spanish text on an English site:
