In some ways Yahoo is the top search engine but in many ways it is still far behind. One big problem I mentioned before is the problem that Yahoo has with redirecting links. In my case it didn't just drop the one page that was link to in this matter but it dropped the whole site and all it subdomains. One link destroyed over 2000 pages of content. Even if this problem gets resolved the time it took to get those pages indexed is lost. Has anyone heard if there has been any move to get this resolved soon?

The other problem I have noticed deals with how Yahoo maintain the pages in its index. Especially, with new sites I have noticed that it frequently looses pages. One day it will show dozens of pages for a site than only a few the next day. The problem for me was it sometime drops the index pages than my main targeted key phrases are based on a deep page that is only somewhat revelant. The net result is my site's ranking for the term goes from top10 to top100. So how does one encourage Yahoo to maintain their pages and how does one get Yahoo to use the right page for ranking?
