I am relatively new to website development / SEO. Seem to be sandboxed by all SEs currently.

I've been toying with the idea of paying for a Yahoo! directory listing and would appreciate learning about people's direct experiences.

Did you sign up for hits, page rank, spidering or other reasons? Was the strategy successful?

Thanks in advance for any assistance

We submitted to the directory 8 business days ago, no response and no listing in the directly. I do see my credit card was charged, any suggestions?

For a commercial enterprise, Yahoo! sure doesn't communicate with customers/clients well.

My site is non-commercial, niche information site. Does great in Google for relevant searches.

I've submitted four times in the past two years to the Yahoo! directory, an obscure page in the directory, and they haven't picked me up yet.

No way I am going to pay the $299, and risk double charges etc. My Yahoo! SERPs are fine already.

BUT, every six months I will try again, until the editor that's rejecting me quits/dies, or until they hire someone to actually review free submissions to my category.

Yes, I think as of late they are having problems with *paid* submission - as in, they charge you, and don't do jack. This could either be a technical issue or a CS issue.
