Formatting problem on Yahoo search pages

Using 800x600 monitor resolution, when there are ads on the right plus local search results, first the 4 ads on the right will show, with the entire screen to the left of it completely blank.

Then, at the end of those ads, the local search results will being showing, with the space to the right totally blank.

It's like there isn't enough space across the screen horizontally for those two columns to show, so though they should be side by side, they aren't - the local search is shifted way downward.

It's very awkward looking, like a serious design issue.
