Is there a way to see if my site is in the index of yahoo?
And do I have to pay ALWAYS to get a yahoo listing?

Thank you very much for the answers!

use this command; url:http://www.yourdomain in the search box. If it is in the directory, it will be displayed. If not, it will tell you no site like that found.

You do not need to pay, however paying will speed the process.

I can find my site in yahoo by entering url:http://www.mysite.com, however I don`t get good rank and also not much traffic from yahoo. What shall I do to get more traffic?

I have about 15 times of google traffic than yahoo traffic, what should I do if I want to increase traffic from yahoo? Do SEO work or something like that?

By the way, what is yahoo`s robot name?

thanks and best regards

Randle, the site just has to be in the search index, not in the Yahoo! Directory to be found via this command.

ThomasB,

Yes you are correct. I meant search results not directory.

Just figured out that sites indexed, when you write [whateversite.com...] if only the homepage comes up, you´re in.

If you are penalized or excluded for whatever reason, your site shows up first, without cached pages, (you ever got spidered) and sites linking to your site, or mentioning it.

Maybe I wrong, but what I checked been true 100%
