Hello!
I recently purchased a domain name that went "dead" and is on the top of a key category in yahoo! I want to point this domain to my primary domain and was wondering if anyone else has done this and if there have been any negative effects. I figured for 35 bucks, I just bought a very nice directory listing in yahoo! Will they go bonkers or just keep it there? My site actually fits the yahoo description perfectly, except for the name and URL address. Thanks for any feedback!

They'll see the redirect and delete the link. Put your site on the domain.

Try submitting a change request asking them to change the URL to point to the new domain and leave the rest of the stuff as is.

Hi all!

I had a redirect in one of our sites (it was after that we had our dominion). I did't mail to Yahoo to change the URL, since rumors were to not disturb Yahoo.. because you scould have risked to lost your listing...!

Fortunately, after one year, they placed the new URL without any imput from us!

So that, I suggest you to have a redirect in the old page.

P.S. Recently I added a site to DMOZ and Yahoo category(in a Regional language): DMOZ was great and listed it after two days!!!! And that category has not an Editor.
I am still waiting for Yahoo.
