Yahoo Results differ for Browser

IE, Opera, Firebird

Earlier today while searching for widgets.com I found a major difference of results depending on the browser. IE and Opera were the same, but Modzilla Firebird got way different results. I also did a random check against another popular domain name and the same thing happened.

Anyone have any idea why or how or whats up with this?

This probably has to do with the cookies each of your different browsers has stored.

The search engines typically will store a cookie on your system and then give you the same results (from the same datacenter / algo) over and over. This way, joe surfer does a search for something and then comes back 10 minutes later and searches for the same thing again, he gets the exact same results.
