Hi: I submitted an appeal email to reportsearchspam@yahoo-inc.com on April 6, 2004 to have a few of my sites re-evaluated and possibly have their penalties lifted. From reading all of the posts in here it seems like Yahoo usually sends you back a “we’ll look into it” email pretty quickly and then you are told it will get looked at 30-60 days later. Anyway, my question for Yahoo Mike or anyone else is… Should I be worried that I haven’t heard anything back yet? …I’m going crazy waiting and wondering if I should re-send the email. Also, is a requirement to have your appeal considered that you email Yahoo from the email address that you originally used when submitting the site in the first place? Also, should I have appealed all of the sites in the same email? All of the sites (11 in all) are listed in the Yahoo directory in different categories, all via Yahoo Express with no duplicate content. I think my penalty came from the fact that I had links to each site on each site. To me this seemed a natural thing to do so my visitors could see all of my sites, but apparently Yahoo or Inktomi thought I was gaming the system. I’ve taken my links lists off my sites so hopefully this will satisfy them.
Any insights into my situation would be appreciated.
