I have seen several sites which just took a jump in the last couple of days. Percent of traffic from Yahoo has risen and total traffic has gone up about 35%.
Following the referers, it looks like some major improvement in the SERPs at Y! took place in the last day or two. Phrases which were #4 or #2 have gone to #1 and items from page three have moved to the top five.
It appears one of the recent algorithmic changes has maimed the site in Google but Yahoo is loving it.
Seems very strange because it is a 100% informational site with zero commercial aspect with the exception of AdSense.

My traffic from yahoo are nothing but pure garbage, site by the way is indexed by way of free inclusion, most...
are fellow webmasters looking for their backlinks :)
The industry I'm watching are still dominated by spammy/cloaked/banner pages in the top20. Me thinks...site match.
I've loudly complained here about the spammy sites I am seeing in Yahoo SERPS, and despite (a) using the report spam contact us link in Yahoo; (b) sending to webmasterworld feedback email addy; (c) sending a sticky to Tim; and (d) using the Send us Feedback feature -- the spammy sites are still on the top of the SERPS I'm looking at (and even climbed up in the rankings)
Me thinks, too, that these spammy sites are Site Match sites.
Wait for the next significant update. The last one brought a lot of junk in, and likely the next will remove a lot of it. New junk might come in again, but if you've given feedback I'd hope to see progress on it only when there is a major shakeup... the next one probably won't occur until they fix the redirect penalty/problem.
Actually I think most of the spam comes from the free crawl, not site match.
Sorry to disagree...
There is no way a pure banner page could be #1 without some inside help.
and comparing it to Google serp is completely different, even authoritative sites are not showing in the top20.
