I've had the yahoo toolbar installed for the last while (since the last ww thread about it), and just today it seems to have started to work. All the values are very close to the current pagerank of pages I visit. Most sites I visited are very similar. Some of the differences I noticed were phpbb.com and yahoo.com having a webrank of 10 but a pagerank of 9.

[edit]and now it's gone back to now showing the web rank again![/edit]

Hi,

it started working for me just NOW! Didn't work an hour ago! I'm in Central Europe and use a popular national DSL provider.

According to my toolbar not even Yahoo.com is ranked. I have never gotten it to work {have had it on and off for the last couple of weeks}

Using top ten US based ISP, if it makes a difference. and v 5.4.9.0 Companion.

Thats odd - I installed my Yahoo tool bar when it first came out and it has never stopped working. It ranks Yahoo 10/10

Can any of you tell me how to enable the webrank option, I dont seem to find it.. From the day I heard about this I have been installing and uninstalling in the hope that I might see the webrank option but I could not figure out why it is not showing up in the options.. Thanx in advance..

Cheers!

Loanuniverse,
Are you using any firewall software? That has been the problem for some people. I a using the same version as you and it works.

WebJp,
As the webrank feature is still in beta and the beta is currently closed you cannot enable the webrank feature via a regular download of the companion. There have been some URLs posted on this forum that may still work for you. Make sure you get the v. 5.4.9.0 companion though.

The current version on yahoo is v 5 .3.16.0 and webrank is not present at all.

There is no way to activate it I guess.

If any of these facts are not true please someone provide a good evidence! :)

I'd love to see Yahoo Webrank!

Silverbytes,
That is true the webrank feature is in beta and the beta is closed. That means they are not giving people new companions with the option of the webrank. The version you downloaded does not have the webrank capability.

Tim, is webrank working now? You said here that it wasn't: [webmasterworld.com...]

I'm not part of the beta but I'm using a third party service to check so if it's not working for you it's not going to work with the d*gitalpoint tool.

I'm getting a webrank for Yahoo of "10", but only a "0" for Google ;)

So maybe it's still broke ;)

They are slowly improving: the webrank number does not change all the time anymore, and Google.com is now a WR 10.

My site is a WR4, but I don't feel bad about it. Stanford University is also WR4... :)

Oops, CNN is WR0. Oh well.

Google.com and .co.uk are coming up a "0". I hope Google haven't been doing any blackhat stuff ;)

Good news for google.de - the "ban" doesn't extend to them and they are a 9 :)

If I link to google.de will that push them up a notch?

You may get just the Webrank feature and test at dp/tools/webrank

Has anyone seen a pattern to the stability of WebRank? It seems to go off during off-peak periods and stable during the peak hours and a few days later the opposite will be true. I do understand it is still in beta, but it would be nice to have some consistency in down time! :-)
