Some Yahoo! sites both regional and national level

...and others are only regional?

Why is it that when i do a search on some terms, such as the actual business name, some results display the same site under their regional category AND their other category? However, some sites (such as mine) are only displayed under their Regional category (which makes us look like we only sell locally). Any input? Thanks for listening to a newbie.

I believe that the (secondary) Regional listing is a virtual one given to commercial sites. This arrangement seems not to work the other way around (virtual commercial listing given to a regional listing.)

Acutally, that's exactly what we got... I submitted our site under the regional category (even suggested a subcategory for our region which did not previously exist) because our online store is targeted locally (and I didn't want to pay $199), and now we're listed both in the Alaska area and the Business & Industry area.

When you search for our company name, the Alaska listing is what shows up, so I'm assuming the commercial listing is the "virtual" one.

So another words, my Primary listing is Regional but they added me to the commercial listing because I requested it. If they would have put me into the commercial category first and then added me to Regional, then I would have both categories displayed when searching. I'm assuming I can't do anything about this, is this correct. Thanks for the help.

I'm actually waiting for a phone call from Yahoo about exactly this sort of question. I'll let you know if I get an answer.
