Worth it to renew Inkotomi PFI?

I have several sites that are due for a repayment for another year of inclusion in Inktomi through PositionTech. Is it worth it to renew these listings? Right now they show up in MSN but is that going to change?

Only you can make that decision, but, personally I think I would hold back till I could figure out what was happening in both the yahoo & msn world.

I would vote for NO.

When I used PositionTech for my home page, only my home page was in the SERPS (and it ranked quite LOW).

I decided to "deactivate" my URL in PositionTech. One month later, ALL my pages are in the index ranking HIGH. I only made minor changes to my site.

It could be a coincidence, and I realize that it could be many other factors, but I wanted to share my experience.

Also, the PositionTech support department was very UNhelpful and (self-snipped. . . you get the hint).

If you use PT I don't think it'll show in Yahoo. To get your site listed in Yahoo you have to use their site match program.

young, i think otherwise. i think u SHOULD sign another years contract and worse comes worse, you give a 30 day notice and get out... if you leave them, u wont be able to come back to them easily.

I was under the understanding that you can't renew for Inktomi since the Rape Me for every click and make me bring my own vaseline program started.

It's been stated in here several times that the Inktomi program is over. If you have sites that were renewed prior to the switch, they will show up for the duration of your term, then you have to convert over.

Hopefully, by then Yahoo will have gone the same way as Looksmart!

So, if I understand what your saying, around mid April there won't be anymore Inktomi payed inlusion? Will yahoo be feeding MSN with their new results?
