Meta Tags Question for Yahoo

Is is true that one search phrase or even one keyword in the meta keywords tag is better than several for yahoo optimization. For example, if your page is all about widgets and you know this to be somewhat of a popular search phrase - "widgets" - then you might as well have that as your keywords tag rather than "widgets, little widgets, big widgets, toy widgets". Any thoughts?

Could be, I ditched the keyword tag half a year ago and do better than ever in Y! & anybody that matters.

I noticed forum 3 used to have a one keyword phrase in the KW meta a month or so ago, and 'then there were none'. Do yourself a favor & quit wasting time and exposing your hand w/ KW meta tags and play with your keywords on the page.

"Look Ma, no keywords!"

I heard Yahoo rep's mention at PubCon that they were using meta tags in their algo. And I do think it's best to keep them focused around 1 keyword - not necessarily just having 1 keyword, but having a few variations of the same kw.

I'm with skipfactor - I don't use meta keywords at all and I have plenty of #1's and top 10's
