This may not be the correct forum for this problem, but I've run out of ideas re: Yahoo search no longer works on my PC: after a few minutes the error message appears: unable to contact server. The Advanced and Properties links don't work either. Other search tools work fine. I've reformatted the HD and reinstalled W98SE (it was time anyways); scanned with NAV; uninstalled the software firewall, BlackIce; run SwatIt! (no bots found); run the IE6 Repair Tool, etc. My son, majoring in computer science, says install Linux. Any other ideas (including a more appropriate forum)?
