This I exctracted from another post, but the cuestion is so interesting, so it needs an new post for it.

Actually, Yahoo search is a new search, and they give you as an gift until 15/4 to those that paid PFI to Inktomi, but though you ever paid for PFI in yahoo, you should pay for a PFI for Yahoo after the 15/4, or only keep your old PFI for msn etc........that you actually bought from old Inktomi.
Ok thats could be fare in some way,

But NO, Yahoo please, tell me if yahoo search is new, why do you keep these years old Inktomi penalization.? Inktomi (or new Yahoo) donīt even know why sites are blocked, and pretend maybe to do an apeal form for these sites, posible to pay to get reviewed, (yahoos time is money) even though Yahoo ever put any penalization (Yahoo is new) to these sites.?
I donīt think anybody should need to apeal to any new search engine.
And the 90% of these sites webmaster actually donīt know why they are penalized,...and what to appeal, if I used real spam in past as doorway pages, hidden text, I assume I would know and remember that.
Itīs sounds just crazy

Yahoo is free to accept or refuse my site, but NO WAY they can say, that my site is blocked, and I need to apeal......... I never been in Yahoo index, and even worse they ever spidered or viewed it.

Helenp, Yahoo has said that its not INK, but this was taken from an interview [internetnews.com] Terry Semel gave on January 6, 2004.

"Our short-term goal will be to have [the Yahoo! network throughout] the entire world using our algorithmic search in Inktomi," said Terry Semel, CEO of Yahoo!, speaking yesterday at the Smith Barney Citigroup Entertainment, Media and Telecommunications Conference in Phoenix. "We really feel that we've only just begun. We've been working very closely with both Inktomi and Overture outside of the U.S. We've been introducing both of those platforms to our search outside of the U.S."

Sorry donīt see what you want to say, if itīs not Ink, then correct to charge for PFI, but canīt apply any penalties.

Im just pointing out that Yahoo has said that they are not using INK to power Yahoo but in the above article they inferred that they were using INK.

>In interviews, Yahoo executives insisted the goal of their paid-inclusion program is to boost relevance and comprehensiveness of results.

When it runs deep it runs deep.
