Hi,
I have a question about payd listing in the yahoo directory.
is it still worth it with recent changes?
-When doing a search on yahoo, the default search is the yahoo webresults nothte directorie results.
I while ago (2 years?) (stupid, I use google)
the results where a mix of page results and webresults I thougt?

Q1:-So how many people do a search in the directorie?
Q2:-Or is it "only" beneficial cause of its linkspop?
Q3: Does yahoo use them as a starting point of searching the web?
Q4: do any other portals use the directory as there main results?

1. People still use the directory. I couldn't get any numbers from Yahoo, but I have sites listed in the directories that get traffic from the category listing because these were often displayed in Google and in the category section of the Yahoo serps. So how much traffic you could get through the directory depends on your site, where you're listed, where that category is dispalyed, etc.

2. It's beneficial because of it's linkpop in Google and the ranking boost in Yahoo serps. It may also be more cost effective than Site Match.

3. The do crawl the directory and add listings from the directory into the main Yahoo serps.

4. I don't think so.
