What will happen to Yahoo's Directory? I have noticed that the directory results are not showing up in the results anymore? I feel sorry for all the people and companies that have paid $300 to be included in the directory recently. I have feeling this could expensive to be included in Y's index after 4-15.

About time to stop using this express submission thingy, my largest site runs dry since yesterday at Y!

I will send them an e-mail asking my money back and command a deletion from their directory!

Update, sorry: after checking the directory inclusion confirmation e-mail states something like acceptance into the Yahoo! Directory through the Yahoo! Express program is not guaranteed.

So, I guess that was that...

Do you all think that Yahoo! is retiring its $299 cash cow to be listed in it's directoery? After checking the new yhoo! serps, I have a feeling that those who are in the directory will get a bonus of a higher ranking, and those that are not will be given less chance of a good ranking. It might not be that apparent now, but I think they are going to crank it up later on! Just my two cents worth.

Since this has been mentioned before, check out the top twenty for: furniture

All Directory.

Then look at the next 20.

When Directory sites are integrated, the serps are generally great.

What is going to happen to the old grand fathered directory listings that have been in the directory since it's inception?
