With the Google results Yahoo would use the title of the site as seen in the Yahoo Directory if available. It seems that with the new results this is no longer the case.

Any ideas why?

It's still using my old title now. I thought it was strange since when Y! was waffling back and forth I could tell I was getting ink results because it used my new title. Not so anymore.

It does for some sites and not for others. I can't figure it out.

I was just added to the directory a month or two ago.

Maybe this is a sign that the index is a couple months old.

If that is so, why wouldn't they update their backlinks and index before making it public on Yahoo?
