New Add to MY Yahoo! feature on Yahoo Search

Anyone see this or use this yet?

We have a new feature we released yesterday which hasnt been picked up on very much yet. It allows users to search for RSS feeds within the results. For example you could search for this forum on Yahoo search and add the webmasterworld rss feed to My Yahoo or another RSS reader. What do people think of this new search feature? This can be done via a new file type restrict on the advanced search or within the main results pages. Any feedback on this?

I went to Yahoo search and couldn't find it. Do I have to be logged into anything to see this?

Ok, I found it in Advanced Preferences... Cool. It gets added into the My Yahoo Dashboard. Hmmm... This is useful.

I don't see "add to my yahoo" there -- I'd like to add some rss feeds to my yahoo front page. Is it possible? For an arbitrary feed?

You go to this url [add.my.yahoo.com...] and you can add any RSS, RDF or ATOM feed to My Yahoo! manually

Do they still have pop-up ads, animated ads across the browser window, and ads that make noise?

What a fantastic feature! I've already added a few news sources, it's a great way to log into 1 place and get a variety of info from different sources.

I guess this is one of Yahoo's advantages over Google - by being a portal they can add these types of features. The idea seems similar to Google Alerts.

I just added my rss feeds. It went smoothly.

In my case, the files render as .rdf files. On the submission page it might be helpful to explain that .rdf files will work as well as .rss files.

We support rdf, rss (several) and atom formats. I will send the feedback over to the My Yahoo team.
