Yahoo is now showing domain information, pages that link to, and pages that contain. It is awesome to just see the whole list instead of a filtered out pr snobbery list. Wow! awesome.

We have more than a thousand pages link to us according to Google, but only 65 at Yahoo. What's up with that wide discrepancy?

I have the exact opposite problem. 14 at google, 1,400 at Y.

I can't make Yhoo do that any way i've tried (www / non-www / .com / .net /.org/ http in front ...) - with ATW it works fine, but that's nothing new - how, exactly, do you produce these serps? was it a test that got pulled again?

claus, it still works for me. just somedomain.com in the search box. (IE6)

I get it by using www.domain.com, then "Web pages that link to...". Hundreds more backlinks showing for me than ATW.

I don't get it - if i go to www.yahoo.com and enter the same address or the URL of this web site (or any other) in the search box, i get the top 20 as usual - plain old serps, nothing fancy at all. Perhaps they're doing some geolocation or whatever, i'm trying from Europe, don't know if my current IP is Danish or German, it tends to shift sometimes (an ISP issue).

If you type in domainname.com, underneath the results of the search should say something like:

Web pages that link to "domainname.com"
Discover who owns "domainname.com"
See how "domainname.com" used to look

If that still doesn't show up, try typing in link:http://www.domainname.com

Nice feature, but a pretty glaring example of the legacy Ink weakness compared to AlltheWeb.

AlltheWeb includes the line:
Find all web pages indexed under "http://www.domain.com/"

Yahoo doesn't include that line probably because it will often be a paltry percentage of pages compared to AlltheWeb or Google.

I just thought I would let you know. You said Yahoo! didn't have this alltheweb feature:
Find all web pages indexed under "http://www.domain.com/"

This is actually not true. The feature is up higher in the listing called "more pages from this site" . This was done to make the UI more consistent and lighten the page.

1 minor issue, which ATW had, and so does Yahoo domain info.

there are domains outside of .com .net and .org

such as .co.uk etc etc

linking to the country NIC should not be that difficult eh :)

Nope, not there.

It's there for a site: search next to the two results, but I see it nowhere for a search of [domain.com...]

robinponty, yes, I see it for you (you have 305 backlinks ;)). What's annoying is that when you want to type it in manually, you have to add the [www....] part or nothing shows up. :p

Yes I agree. I have had the task of finding a new domain name search provider on my whiteboard for a little while. Need to get that done soon.

Yahoo has a long way to go for European users. When I search for "darüber", Yahoo returns results for "dar er", and when I search for "Lübeck" I get pages about somebody called "L. Eck". :)
