Ink results on Yahoo

Noticed on the Brandy thread that some have started seeing Ink on Yahoo. Me too! But it's not pure Ink. Does anyone want to comment on the differences? What I see is bunch of extra stuff in front of my listings :-(

I'm on the first page for a few things in Ink, but not on the Yahoo version.

The new results are now showing for me too (SW Florida).

When I checked this morning, it was still "powered by Google". No more. This will be interesting.

But think I will keep having the same problem as with Inktomi......... they only reads my robots.txt........
anybody knows how to contact yahoo? written Inktomi twice, but nothing change, and robots.txt are ok.

I'm seeing completely different results on .com to .co.uk (still Google). If this is what the new Yahoo index is going to look like I'm off to get drunk (to celebrate), it looks good to me.

So, there it goes. Wondering if these Y! threads will become as huge as the G ones and if there is gonna be a YahverturetomiGuy around.

Now, one of my sites is listed within Y!, G indexed 50,000+ pages, other SEs doing well too, just this new Y! index knows 6 pages only from that big site.

Don't really understand what's going on, anyone wants to start guessing, advising on Y! SEO?

Additional testing conducted:

This is the only one of all my sites (widgets.net) together with the store.widgets.com that do not show up.

widgets.net 6 pages, it's a heavily portal-like-structured site with directory, articles, e-mail, forum, news, weather and the likes.

store.widgets.net no page indexed whatsoever, runs AWS on ASP.NET - similar programs show up fine in Y!

Do I get penelized for having a Yahoo!-like site?!?

For some results I'm seeing Ink, others are G!, why is this?

Yahoo has been delivering Inktomi results to certain people for the last three weeks.
I have seen nothing but Inktomi results during this period.
Most seo's don't get it, they are still googlized.
Ink will be the dominate db very soon.

I see ink here in Calif 11:30 pm pacific. It was here earlier then it went back to google not it's back to ink. Hope it stays.

Is this change official news and complete? or will this be a phased incremental rollout?

While feedback is always a bit tricky in such a huge public business (overhead, management of expectations internally and externally, etc.) the new Yahoo! Search Result Feedback form looks well constructed if they were to take it really serious.

But is this manageable? What's your take?

I liked the feature but don't really trust the impact.

Early checks on the new Y! suggest that all my dynamic sites find a better home in the new Yahoo!

While G has major trouble indexing .aspx generated pages Yahoo! find way more of those and shows them nicely and complete with title, descr. and such.

Yahoo uses Google SERPs but mixes them with their own stuff a little. I believe, and GoogleGuy has stated, that Google is currently in the process of updating so you may just be seeing the updated SERPs.

You are seeing Inktomi or Yahoo/Inktomi results or variants thereof coming online... then sometimes disappearing for a while.

Your question brings up an interesting thought. Should we expect Yahoo/Inktomi dances in the future?

I've never noticed a big event with an Inktomi update, just generally an overnight change... but will they ignore the public relations value of this kind of week-long event in the future?
