Yahoo! becomes Opera's homepage!

Browser hijacked or new partnership?

In my opera browser I hit the home button and I am redirected to [eu.opera.yahoo.com...]

Did Yahoo! Hijack Opera, on my computer, to display that page or did I miss a big story where Opera became partners with Yahoo! and dropped Lycos? If this is the case what happens with the AdSense sponsored version of the browser?

Does it for me on both Opera and IE, as well my roommates computer on IE.

Yes, I am also seeing Yahoo.

Though I know nothing about it, I am not a frequent Opera user, just use it for testing sites.

Am getting the Yahoo! regional page (being redirected from portal.opera.com to es.opera.yahoo.com).

Today at my work computer I am getting Lycos. I wonder if it is some sort of browser home page hijacking being done by Yahoo?

See paragraph 4. Trouble is, their geo-location seems to be fairly broken - I get "Yahoo! UK & Ireland" as the page title, with loads of British news headlines even though I'm in Canada (and registered with Yahoo! Canada). Very strange...
