For the past 8 months or so I have had pretty good rankings (mostly in the top 10 or 20) in Yahoo and Google for nearly all of my targeted keywords. I just checked my rankings by using Web Position Gold's "Reporter" and noticed that I have pretty much disappeared from the search engines. I have recently been reading alot about Yahoo changing to Inktomi and am wondering if this could be the reason why I have vanished. I only have 1 page (my home page) listed with Inktomi since I recently paid for it about a month ago. Nearly all of my traffic came from Yahoo and Google. For some reason I am not being listed with MSN even though I have submitted?
I have only been in business about a year and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions at all for me about what can be done. I have written descriptive paragraphs and have targeted the correct keywords. My links could use some improvement, but other than that I am in the dark.
Any suggestions or clues as to what may have happened would be greatly appreciated!
Firstly, Google (and thus Yahoo) results are changing from moment to moment right now due to an update, so your issue may be premature.
Currently Yahoo is still using Google results, so any indexing problem most likely pertains to Google.
It has been mentioned in these forums many times that Google does not tolerate requests from Web Position Gold, or other automated query tools, so that may have some significance. There's more info on this page and the links on the left:

Does anyone know when this might be rectified. How frustrating.
I would be very thorough in removing anything that would possibly cause a penalty: hidden links, hidden text, sneaky use of H1 tags, cloaking, cross-linking of other domains owned by you, linking to 'bad neighborhoods' etc. Search through the Google forum for more info.
Then I would make sure that several good ranking sites post a link to you. The rest will take care of itself.
