They're policy's seem like they're in line with the new "anti-spam" legislation now roaring through the US congress. It would allow organizations to market to absolutely anyone until they receive an explicit opt-out request.
The general population must be pretty docile if that's an effective way to do business. I turn off immediately when I get forced, not opted in, marketing messages.
